H.P. Lovecraft’s Commonplace Book Entry No. 41

H.P. Lovecraft’s Commonplace Book Entry No. 41

"The Italians call Fear La figlia della Morte—the daughter of Death."

Earlier in the year , I was invited to participate in an exhibition project in Switzerland entitled "An Exhibition of Unspeakable Things". The exhibition to be held at the Maison d'Ailleurs, Museum of Science Fiction was to be based on a text by writer H. P. Lovecraft – the Commonplace Book. Lovecraft’s Commonplace Book is a written compilation of ideas: from 1919 to 1934. He wrote down fragments, plot ideas and scenario outlines, all concrete elements he could put to use at any given time. The texts contain suggestions for story-writing as well as a list of "horror fundamentals", intended to stimulate the imagination.
